WBL Girls Hockey Out in Force @ the Manitou Days Parade

The WBL Girls Hockey program was out in full force on June 20th for the 2014 Manitou Days Parade in DT White Bear Lake. When all was said and done we had over 35 association and HS players participate in this year’s parade. What a great showing from the WBL Girls Hockey program.

As our "Big Rig" made its way down the streets of White Bear Lake and candy and Girls hockey bracelets were being handed out, I heard many comments from old and young in support of WBL Girl Hockey. As one dad said to his 4 to 5 year old daughter, "look those girls play hockey, doesn't that look fun?" Her reply, "yes can I play?" Right at that moment, Mae Moris, Senior Goalie and one of the captains for the 2014-15 WBLHS team gives her a piece of candy and WBL girls hockey bracelet. Priceless!

As these kids grow up in the program, no matter if it's girls or boys, the key to a successful future is giving back. As these kids have great youth and HS experiences, they need to make sure the kids coming up behind them have the same great experience they had and what better way to get kids energized about hockey, give them candy at a parade and show them how fun it is to be part of the hockey family.

Let's keep the momentum going and continue to market WBL Girls Hockey.

Go Bears!
